Ulm, 9. December 2021. ulrich medical, manufacturer of spinal systems, has decisively expanded its portfolio through strategic partnerships during the fall of 2021: A cervical stabilization plate, titanium lumbar cages and an innovative scoliosis ligament are now part of the range.
As a manufacturer of spinal systems, Ulrich Medical is already very well positioned with its product portfolio. In order to support doctors in scoliosis care as well, the Ulm-based family company has entered into an alliance with an internationally renowned manufacturer. In this way it is expanding its range to include state-of-the-art implants.
Scoliosis care with innovative technology
With the Jazz scoliosis band made by Implanet, Ulrich Medical is expanding its range with an ultra modern implant. Depending on the requirements, Jazz comes with significantly fewer or even completely without pedicle screw implantations. This reduces the fluoroscopy times and therefore the radiation exposure for the patient and the surgical team, which is necessary during a procedure for placing each of the pedicle screws. Furthermore, the band can be used independent of bone quality and is also suitable for therapeutic approaches where drilling is to be avoided and bone preservation is the primary concern.

Jazz is not the only product to strengthen ulrich medical’s product portfolio. From OSD comes the Origin plate, which is used for anterior cervical stabilization. Their special locking mechanism prevents the screws from loosening. Thanks to cooperation partner Tsunami Medical, the Ulm-based medical technology manufacturer’s cage range now also includes 3D-printed titanium cages with the products Alicudi, Elba, Pianosa and Stromboli. Their ultra modern mesh structure provides an excellent platform for the ingrowth and accretion of bone substance.
The respective product cooperations are marketed in different markets within Europe.
